Tanya travelled to Helsinki as a guest of The Child Lens, where she is an Associate, for the second Paediatric Investment Forum on 17 September and Paediatric Innovation Day on 18 September 2026.
The events brought together founders, investors, clinicians, hospitals and innovation organisations working to improve paediatric and maternal health. Discussions explored how promising ideas can attract mission-aligned investment, navigate complex healthcare systems and develop into solutions that reach children and families.
During the visit, Tanya made new connections and contributed perspectives informed by her work with The Child Lens and Consult4impact’s experience in impact investment, innovation strategy and governance. We will return to some of the themes raised in Helsinki in future Insights.
The Investment Forum was organised by i4KIDS, CoMB MedAngels Investor Network, The Child Lens and Montana Children’s, with support from HUS and the New Children’s Hospital Foundation. The following day’s Innovation Day was jointly organised by HUS, the New Children’s Hospital Foundation and i4KIDS.
